26. I cannot be you, my friend

Don’t mind my countless faults,
Don’t break the chord, my friend.

Remember what drew you to me
When we first met each other
Forget not what made you nurse
The bond that you now want snapped.

Familiarity brings out vices, my friend
Hidden under the surface somewhere
But also eclipses virtues
Which have not really gone away.

My vices are all my own
And so are my virtues
Accept me with all that is mine
I cannot be you, my friend.

True. Love is inspite of all weaknesses and vices.

A beautiful one :) but I have a doubt whom did you dedicate this poem ?

Yes, everybody have their own set of strengths and weakness. It all depends on how one gets adjusted.

This poem highlights the love and affection of friendship, nice one.
