39. Tree to traveller-V

Traveller, get up now and go home.

Chirping of birds and cool shade
Should rid you of your weariness,
Prepare you for fresh exciting goals,
Not lull you into prolonged inaction.

Traveller, too much rest is a burden
Difficult to shake off the shoulders,
Achieving one goal is not life’s end
It must be stepping stone to another.

Traveller, it is time to hurry home
And prepare for one more journey
I shall offer you my shade again
Should I happen to fall in your path.

Dear Onkarji,

Yes, life is but a continuous journey, there is no final destination as such in particular; it just goes on and on... till we leave our material body someday...

I can only say that your “Tree to traveller Series” of poems are simply outstanding and hats off to you for such valuable ideas on life.

I was a little late to catch up with the sequels of “Tree to traveller”. Now I have re-read the original one and all the following chain of your poems.

Onkarji, there is really so much to learn from your poems; they carry the most essential morals of life, sending value-oriented messages straight across.

Your pieces of writing are a great source of knowledge to every reader, keep writing more...

Cheers,
Charan.
